MINI Warranty

What Is Covered By the MINI New Car Limited Warranty?

New 2023 MINI cars come with a 4 year or 50,000 mile (whichever occurs first) limited warranty covering defects in material or workmanship. Coverage begins on the date of first retail sale. Additional factory warranties provide coverage over for rust perforation, emission components, wheel alignment/balancing, wiper blade inserts, and safety belts.

These warranties protect you from defects originating from the factory, and do not cover normal wear or maintenance costs. If you encounter issues with your new MINI, make an appointment with our authorized MINI service center today so we can help to diagnose the problem.

MINI High‑Voltage Lithium‑Ion Battery Limited Warranty

MINI warrants the high‑voltage lithium‑ion battery assembly against defects in materials or workmanship. The high‑voltage lithium‑ion battery assembly found in plug-in hybrid electric vehicles is covered for 8 years/80,000 miles, while the high‑voltage lithium‑ion battery assembly found in all-electric MINI vehicles is covered for 8 years/100,000 miles.

Battery performance and durability, including high‑voltage lithium‑ion batteries, is temperature‑dependent. While battery capacity increases in higher temperatures, colder temperatures will lower the battery’s capacity. Extreme high and/or low temperatures may impact the battery’s service life.
